SYNOPSIS
A young boy drives a donkey cart through a medieval German winter — roughspun coat, creaking wheels, frozen mud. Strange cargo: a load of modern synthesizers and electric keyboards.
From the treeline, a demon watches. He sees the keyboards and starts to dance, moving to music only he can hear. A Walkman falls from the cart. He picks it up, grins — and leaps silently onto the load, invisible, walking across the keyboards. He slips the headphones onto the boy’s ears.
The boy panics, stops the cart, tears them off. Looks around. Nothing. Just snow and fog.
Then the landscape breaks open — vast red rock canyons, impossibly American, impossibly ancient. On the highest peak: a medieval castle with a windmill. The demon is already there, dancing among circling crows. Then he dissolves into dust and is gone.
The camera rises to reveal the castle entrance — shaped exactly like the housing of an old audio cassette.
