Posted by Independent Shorts Awards International Film Festival has unveiled the full festival schedule for the 2026 Annual Awards, taking place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Regal LA LIVE in downtown Los Angeles.
The 8th Annual Independent Shorts Awards will bring together 71 films from 27 countries across 11 screening blocks presented in three auditoriums, alongside an industry panel, cocktail reception, red carpet photocall and press interviews, and the Annual Awards Show.
The program spans narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, comedy, drama, action, fantasy, horror and other genres, bringing together films from the 2026 annual competition alongside specially selected works presented as part of the live showcase.
The lineup also features 26 films with premiere status, including seven world premieres.
Cast and crew representing most of the films are confirmed to attend, with filmmakers and guests traveling to Los Angeles from across the United States and several other countries, adding to the international character of a day designed not only around screenings, but also around meeting, celebrating, and connecting with the independent film community.
Screenings begin at 11:00 AM, with the 11 programs continuing throughout the afternoon. The evening culminates with the Annual Awards Show at 7:30 PM, where the winners of the 2026 Annual Awards will be revealed.
