Mandatory Indian drama short “Alia” premieres at ISA live screening of November in Hollywood


A young married mute girl who undergoes domestic violence by her husband and mother every day. She takes a crucial decision of her life to live with her loved ones.

Alia” (India), the mandatory 15-minute drama short directed by Sreehari Purimetla and Adithya Joshi, is another film confirmed for the lineup of the November live screening of Independent Shorts Awards.

After the screening, the Q&A with the directors Sreehari Purimetla and Adithya Joshi. At Raleigh Studios Hollywood on Saturday 30th, 6 pm.

Alia” was awarded Best Film of the Month (August 2019) and Platinum Best LGBTQ Short.

Besides “Alia”, ISA will screen another 5 award-winning short films followed by a Q&A with the respective cast and crews.
