Eros, the god of love, tends to a garden where each flower represents a human soul. After seeing Cassian and Jane’s sunflowers turn toward each other, he pots them together, creating a match. When their sunflowers suddenly die, Eros discovers that Cassian and Jane have broken up. Zeus reveals that many of Eros’ matches have failed and sends him to Earth as a mortal, giving him 30 days to repair their relationship or lose his title.
Determined to prove himself, Eros helps Cassian try to win Jane back, but each attempt only pushes her further away. His final grand gesture fails when Jane firmly ends any possibility of reconciliation.
With Moira’s guidance, he realizes that loving someone can also mean letting them go. Eros encourages Jane to finally explain her feelings to Cassian, and the two share one last honest conversation that gives them closure. Eros then separates their sunflowers into different pots, where they bloom again, symbolizing that both can grow apart while still honoring the love they shared.
