On a bitter December night in a rural town, a bartender’s carefully guarded solitude is interrupted by a spirited young woman whose presence seems to shake him to his core. Left behind by her intoxicated companions, she stays through closing; and what begins as wary conversation slowly spirals into an intimate reckoning with the human condition. As the night unfolds, an unspeakable connection between the two comes to light, forcing them both to confront a past that’s haunted them for years.
