Award-winning 34-minute drama short “Hummingbird“, starring Academy Award nominee Janet Mcteer, premieres at the Independent Short Awards 2022 Annual Awards in Hollywood next September. Nominated for Best Women Short, Best Student Director (Male) and Best Actress of the Year, Joseph Louis Coleman‘s debut film plays in Block 12 on September 18th, 2.55pm, at Raleigh Studios.
A powerful drama with a remarkable performance of lead actress Janet Mcteer, “Hummingbird” revolves around a woman living alone in the north woods who goes blind. Unable to take care of herself, she relies on her estranged daughter for support. However, their rocky past causes problems.
“Hummingbird” was awarded Best Film of the Month (runner-up) and Platinum for Best Student Short in the season of October 2021.
