Belgrade, 1992. Yugoslavia is falling apart. Sensing that the situation is only heating up, regardless of what the media says, freshly graduated Mina and her soon-to-be-recruited boyfriend plan to leave the country that night. The only thing left is to tell Mina’s conservative family, at a Saint Guardian celebration. (Serbian Orthodox Tradition)
Your Guardian explores all guardian figures of Mina’s life and their ideas of her future as a promising female graduate in a difficult time. Influenced by her protective father, shadow acting mother, fear lead sister and noisy Godparents, Mina is struggling to stop being an obedient figure and follow her spirit.
