The Glitter of Sound

This is a documentary about last summer when volunteers in Shenzhen international college of education self arranged a journey to Hunan, Cili. As one of them, I filmed this documentary to try to show the world about the very specific, but also common, their “pain” of growing.
The children living in remote places in China are not only facing issues like  “impoverishment” and ” lack of teaching resources” which are the focus of thousands and millions of films Chinese government made, but injured with much more hazardous problems like no professional mental care resource , lack of companionship from parents, and extreme in-confidence due to the reaction of people surrounding, including teachers and students.
Talking about extending information about the film, the whole teaching equipments had improved a lot due to the support from both government and society groups.
However, more effort should be made on other aspect besides economy. From my perspective, there are thousands or even more children in China in such harsh situation same as the the little boy introduced by Thomas who , unfortunately, missed the best period of time to improve the condition of his mental disabilities . The teachers and classmates recognize him as being stupid, because there were no such therapist in the school to convey the truth that he was showing the sign of suffering from both autism and dyslexia. And there are much more children, just like the four ones, who’s pain and suffer hidden behind those beautiful smiles, unable to speak out to the society. There is a glitter of hope in there eyes, in their voice, just as shown in the film, who cannot even see the blackboard clearly tell her dream of becoming a scientist loudly ; the other who has a disability in reading dreams to be come an artist in future.
Their lives and hopes are far more colorful than the society how the society regard them as, and that, is what I want to present.
