“Miazmat” is an attempt to reverse engineer the vision that drove S.I. Witkiewicz to create his 1922 painting composition.
The animation was created according to the precepts of the so-called “Pure Form” theory, developed by S.I. Witkiewicz, which stipulated that art’s key role is to evoke a feeling of metaphysical dread or otherwise immerse the viewer in the mysterium of existence.
