Based on the Dicky Murphy play, “The Lost Recording of Mercy Man Malloy” this film follows Nate, a young white man who has moved to Mississippi to follow his blues dreams. He will stop at nothing to succeed. Serendipity has it; his new apartment comes with an unexpected roommate: the soul of Mercy Man trapped in a jukebox after a deal with the Devil. Filled with a throve of never heard before blues records, the talking jukebox offers Nate a tantalizing deal: “take the lost recordings of Mercy Man Malloy and reap the success they surely will bring you; in turn, I will get the credit and recognition long due to me.” When Nate’s desire for fame gets the best of him, and he tries to cut Mercy Man out of the deal, things take a dark turn…
