Singing from the grave

Singing from the grave

In the village of Pârâul de Pripor, only fiddlers (lăutari) live. An extended community, made up of families that at first glance seem unrelated, is in fact a single family spread across four generations, from great-grandparents to great-grandchildren.
We discover how music is passed down from father to son, how they manage to adapt during a period of transition, and how they try to keep their tradition alive.
