Set in the 1950s, The Bore tells of a housewife, Ally, whose life has become dull. Her marriage has mouldered, and her sense of self has frayed. One night–coaxed by a strange figure proclaiming the perils of boredom–Ally resolves to end what bores her. But when her boredom persists, a familiar face offers a final solution.
