Bonfire Sessions is a series of music-driven short films that brings artists from across genres together around a bonfire to share their personal mental health journeys through story and song to create space for more open, honest conversations between young people and the adults who care about them. Each installment explores a different theme, using music as a way in – helping listeners connect, reflect and take something with them that words alone often can’t carry. In this, the series debut, we gather in the stillness of a rural Minnesota night to listen to two emerging musical artists speak candidly about the quiet isolation of growing up in a small town – and its effect on their mental health.
