Myles comes armed with his resume, as he has scored a competitive and rare “first date” with the esteemed Riley, a titan in the industry. He is vying for the “boyfriend” position, but she is looking to hire a “straight best friend”, or “SBF”. Desperate to transcend the friend zone, Myles tries to negotiate a better deal. This humorous, absurdist short film, blends together the ridiculous anxiety of dating and the bizarre formality of job interviewing—two of adulthood’s oddest, unavoidable (and strangely similar) rituals.
