Curator Yijie plotted with Zhou Duan to swap Lao Mo’s ancestral filigree bracelet for fraud. An underpaid employee stole the replica. Lao Mo’s daughter foresaw the scam and hid the real bracelet. Threatened by Yijie, she surrendered the fake one. Believing she had succeeded, Yijie found her hidden wooden box empty. The daughter caught up with the employee and kept the genuine bracelet, winning the game.
