The sun dies in 4 days. Edward, a milk delivery man, stops taking the emotion-numbing medication prescribed to all citizens. On a delivery he sees a woman, Effina, who is behaving strangely. She is also off the medication. He leaves her a note to meet him at the carousel and they fall in love. Edward must eliminate Effina’s husband from the equation in order to spend his last moments with her.
