On the day of her lead debut, a young actress gets stuck on a delayed train to opening night with the rest of her theatre company. As the hours drag on and tensions rise, she is pulled between her hunger for the role, the shadow of her mother’s abandoned acting career, and a quiet fellow actor whose way of living feels completely opposite to her own. One year later, on the anniversary of the day they met, she tries to bring that night back to life, and is forced to face what her love, her ambition, and her inheritance have turned her into.
