Free on Bail (Livre com Fiança) merges six songs and seven poems into a cinematic ritual — a visual album about self-esteem, faith, and liberation through art. Guided by a tarot reader, a young Black gay man embarks on a spiritual journey through the tarot to heal his wounds, confront rejection, and rediscover the meaning of freedom.
Written, directed, and produced by Spartakus, with music videos by Ricardo Souza, Marco Antonio Ferreira, and Breno Shinn, the film blends Afrofuturism and spirituality to explore how the pursuit of success can imprison the soul, and how self-love, ancestry, and collective freedom become the true bail for existence.
Directed by Spartakus Santiago (Brazil)
