By The Memory Lake

The protagonist, Li Xiao, begins to feel confused and hesitant as the words he has written gradually take shape while making his film. As memories resurface, those once vague images begin to clarify. To make sense of this, he creates a fictional character—Yu Shengnan—attempting to guide this character through his own memories: the doorframe at night, the restaurant, the section chief, his grandmother, and the lakeside, among others. Throughout this process, Li Xiao is both an observer and a participant, using words to transform himself into a part of the framework. As the creation progresses, all the words lead him into a new struggle, and he begins to question the true purpose of his creation.
