The main character is a high school boy, Satoru.
He confesses his feelings to Akane, the prettiest and most popular girl in school who is one senior above him, but is rejected.
Akane unexpectedly tells Satoru that she has a boyfriend, and Satoru is disheartened.
Akane confesses that she lied about having a boyfriend. After school, Akane and Kousuke are concerned about Satoru.
Satoru learns of this and looks forward and starts to run.
