After finishing his farm work, an elderly man was on his way home when he heard the village loudspeaker announcing that a city television station, in collaboration with doctors, would be visiting the village to provide door-to-door medical consultations. The TV crew rudely arranged their equipment in his house. The doctor hastily completed the checkup. Within the confines of the camera’s frame, the scene seemed full of warmth and care. However, outside the lens, the elderly man’s feelings of vulnerability and loneliness had no place to settle. Ultimately, while trying to rehang the family portrait that had been taken down due to the banner set up for the filming, the elderly man unexpectedly fell. As the village loudspeaker played a farewell tune, the old man silently approached death in his quiet home.
