Nianzhen Lin, a high school student, has accidentally infected vaginitis resulting from Candidiasis. Instead of seeking treatment, she wants to cultivate Candidiasis and spread it, which is greatly opposed to by her conservative grandma Zhenling Lin. Zhenling tries out all means in an attempt to cure Nianzhen and restore her purity. However, Nianzhen doesn’t seem to be bothered by the ailment. Nianzhen’s mother, Chongen Lin, suffers from biases as a single mother, and even Zhengling would accuse her of being debauched and indecent. At the same time, Nianzhen’s classmates are under constant sexual harassment from their male teacher, and so Nianzhen develops the idea to pass Candidiasis to everyone. In her opinion, if vaginitis, a female ailment that is demonized in East Asian society, symbolizes impurity, then when everyone is infected, everyone would be equal again. Led by Nianzhen, the girls in her class use their bodies as the medium and pass the Candidiasis into the pool, into the ocean, and into the oppressive world Chongen suffers from.
