Foeigras

Foeigras

Jay (18) copes with a lie about her paternal father through a series of fantasies. Jay learns that her father is not her real father.
Confronting the truth about living a lie, shatters the trust in one’s identity. Jay tries to escape her feelings through an immediate, sexual release by fantasizing about a dreamy rich, powerful boy- everything that she would ever want to be. Freedom is what Jay is after.
Foeigras is a pate made from the liver of forced-fed geese, a metaphor to how lies can suffocate and trap one’s soul in a vicious cycle of loss.
Her grandmother is a women of power and influence, whilst her father is a good man who is scared to confront his mother.
