This is a two-character, one set play. It runs about 20 minutes.
Two women are in the break-room at work. They are good friends and their conversation begins light-heartedly. But soon jealousy, betrayal and disappointment explode.
Madison ranks higher at the workplace than her friend. She is dreamy to the point of self-indulgence. She is also ironic-half-sincere blends with dreamy in a new combination. She dresses casually. She respects the opinion of Pearl, who philosophizes about happiness but doesn’t create any. Pearl becomes vindictive, while Madison teeters on the brink of despair.
