Mother

A traditional East-Asian mother struggles to relate with her Americanized son and with confronting her own bias against a new daughter-in-law who she cannot also relate to culturally.
She is going through a divorce from an arranged marriage, so she outweighs traditional expectations for her son against him being in a happy and loving relationship.
