Hanakotoba is the poetic love story of a woman, Claire, and a man, Guillaume in which the elements and life drag them into a whirlwind of worries. Their lack of communication will get the better of them.

The two beings love each other, but when the woman hides her heavy disease, the man blames the whole earth, attacks both others and himself, and seeks at all costs a scapegoat for their romantic break-up. This will mark the end of her relationship.

In the first episode, we will show the feelings of Guillaume, followed in the second episode by point of view of Claire, to ultimately put the puzzle in order and lift the veil on the whole story in the last and third episode.

Hanakotoba is the Japanese form of the language of flowers. It allows the expression of certain feelings, and represent a form of communication. While the movie displays flowers at key moments, it emphasizes the lack of communication between Claire and Guillaume.
