Ontario is home to thousands of species of wildlife but over 240 are already listed as at risk. Now more than ever, we need to connect with nature, look into their eyes, and take action. This heart-warming short film film gives a snapshot of the stories of a dedicated team of experts and the injured and orphaned animals in their care at Ontario’s largest rescue and rehabilitation center, Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. In 2020, they helped over 850 animals from 20 different Canadian species get back to the wild where they belong. We also meet the 30 permanent rescued residents who can not survive on their own but are thriving at the Sanctuary including Mama Bear, Tippy the Coyote, Ella the Moose and mischievous Mystic the Arctic Fox. We see the passion of inspirational volunteers like young Cailan who paddled and portaged 120+ kms to raise $14k+ and awareness for the Sanctuary. We can all make a difference.
