“LogosField” is 20 minute non-narrative, experimental cinematic exploration of creation and life itself using a mixture of candid and more highly produced 16mm and High-Definition digital footage filmed over a 50 year period in the various locations in the USA, England, Spain, Bali, China, Croatia and Switzerland. The additional, more highly produced sequences feature an actress who portrays an Angelic Being. Voice-over readings of poetry by the famed 13th Century Persian Sufi Jalal Ad-din Rumi, along with an evocative score, help create a profound and moving cinematic experience. This film was originally conceived to be the capstone of the filmmaker’s early series of experimental Field Films, which he made and showed widely in the 1960s.
