The track from Marree to Oodnadatta in South Australia is old, really old. It predates the Silk Road by about 50,000 years and is a traditional trade route for the Arabana peoples and neighbouring Aboriginal groups. Descendant of Scottish immigrant John Warren, Francis Dunbar Warren provided a sanctuary for Arabana People in the arid interior of Australia and has left an everlasting legacy that has seen a 50,000 year old culture survive the 20th Century.
