Award-winning Congolese documentary “Lituka” premieres at ISA TV channel

A young boy from a financially challenged background creates his luck by making charcoal stoves to help himself, and his family.

Lituka (USA), a documentary short directed by Congolese filmmaker Rodney Kimbangu, is streaming now at ISA TV channel. Awarded honorable mention for Best Microfilm in October 2019.

“While filming these young brilliant entrepreneurs surpassing their difficulties and finding ways to make a living in an unforgiving environment that was familiar, and having been in a situation where my family had material goods one year and lost it all the next, I was reminded of how lucky I was to live in America and to be a filmmaker, and I wondered what my life would have looked like otherwise”, says Rodney Kimbangu.
