Daydream is inspired by Zhuangsheng from Zi Bu Yu (What the Master Would Not Discuss), a collection of supernatural stories. One day, Zhuang is at a friend’s place watching people play chess when he hears a strange voice calling his name.
It seems like that the voice can only heard by zhuang, his friends were still focus on their chess board. Zhuang follows the voice to the backyard, where he sees a beautiful woman in red dress sit in the pavilion as if she is expecting him. Zhuang slowly approaches her, but to his surprise, two dwarfs suddenly jump out of nowhere and start attacking him. With the cry of horror, zhuang run all the way back but finds he and his friends are still sitting quietly besides the chess board. Zhuang smashed the tea cup, and then wake up. After realize that it was just a daydream, zhuang asks his friends to go check the backyard anyway and they only sees three pigs eating their filthy meal.
