“No Better, No Worse” follows the character of Fiona navigating a recent heartbreak, and moving back in with her parents. With an ill mother and a father who has retreated to his basement den with his bottles of wine, Fiona tries to rally her parents toward normalcy. But, in their first outing together under these strained circumstances, they encounter another family whose difficulties far outweigh their own.
